This therapy is useful if you find yourself with inner conflict and wanting to find a resolution. Perhaps there is something bothering you in present day, which you feel, may have arisen as a result of something that happened in your past. This therapy can help you get to the root of it, allowing you to re-interpret your current situation with new information and insights. These self-empower you to make healthy changes.
How does Regression work?
It is based on the concept that our personality is composed of a number of various parts, which are simply different aspects of our subconscious mind. For example, you may have or felt or heard yourself saying or thinking, that “there is a part of me which wants to do something, and a part of me which doesn’t”. You are not fully in rapport with yourself, and this therapy is a way to get those parts of you, working in tune together, therefore, resolving inner conflicts.
What is Hypnosis?
The most popular view of hypnosis is a trance-like state. A trance is a natural state we all experience from time to time, for example when we daydream, we are mentally focused on some internal event, so have decreased awareness of things going on around us. Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and heightened suggestibility.
What is Hypnosis used for?
Health practitioners use it for treating various sorts of issues that have an underlying mental /or emotional factor, such as weight gain due to emotional eating, fears, phobias, or smoking under times of stress. Although deeply relaxed, you are in fact very much awake and in control.
During this state of deep relaxation, the subconscious is able to communicate with our conscious mind, helping us to get in touch with our inner resources, connecting to our utmost abilities and our highest potential, enabling us to achieve our goals and live more confidently and fully in our present lives.
How do Hypnosis & Regression work?
A hypnotic regression is a process in which you will go into trance / state of deep relaxation, recall a memory or series of memories relating to your specific issues. The regression can be to empowering moments you experienced in the past, or can be to those more traumatic memories causing you negative habits and symptoms in the present.
If you think about your mind as a computer, sometimes what happens is that the subconscious mind gets mixed up and files the memory in the wrong file. Your therapist’s skill and role is to help you file it correctly so the emotions or behaviour can change. Other times it is an event, which would be completely unrelated, and for some reason at that moment in time, a negative response occurred.
